SG$39.90

Arduino can be used to develop stand-alone interactive objects or can be communicate with software running on your computer (e.g. Flash, Processing, MaxMSP). The Arduino programming language is an implementation of Wiring / Processing language as an open-source physical computing platform based on a simple I/O board, and a development environment for writing software.  The Duemilanove is the latest in a series of USB Arduino boards with auto reset function , extended power connector, built in LED, USB overcurrent protection and more.Duemilanove can be powered via the USB connection or with an external power supply. The power source is selected automatically. The on-board ATMega328 microcontroller with 32K bytes of program memory is pre-loaded with bootloader which allows user to download program without additional hardware. The open-source IDE (Integrated Development Environment) currently support Mac OS X, Windows, and Linux. It can be downloaded for free.

 Features

  • Cross-platform - The Arduino software runs on Windows, Macintosh OSX, and Linux operating systems
  • Open source and extensible software - The Arduino software is published as open source tools. The language can be expanded through C++ libraries, and AVR-C code can be added directly into Arduino programs.
  • Relatively inexpensive compared to other microcontroller platforms.
  • Simple, clear programming environment
  • Open source and extensible hardware - The Arduino is published under a Creative Commons license, so user make their own version of the module, extending it and improving it.
